THE KLONES – Disco Rhythm 7” (1981)


United Kingdom alternative foursome who plays a competent set of two clearly different new wave influenced numbers…The title song is an upbeat synth wave ride with the keyboards taking a prominent role in the mix …The B side “Metal Man” takes things down a level and has a very uncanny resemblance to early 80’s The Police sounds…Even the vocal sounds similar.…Sting and crew were definitely a major influence on this particular song….. It is a private pressing on Secret Records, London. We can’t find anymore releases by the band, so it may have been one and done…It’s obscure, but not scarce…it is currently available in the marketplace…listen below..
