TWEEDS – Music For Car Radios EP (1981)

This one is a request from somebody somewhere, you know who you are….Anyway, this Boston based band of power poppers was led by Marc Mchugh, who formerly held membership status in the 60’s indie band The Bone. Marc and crew looked to have been active in the late 70’s-early 80’s, producing a couple of 7” singles and a couple of EP’s, this one being their last and hope their best, but we would like to hear their 1980 EP Perfect Fit if anyone is so inclined or maybe the requestor.…

There are two sides with a total of four songs – An AM side and FM side that both fill the checkboxes with competent guitar driven power pop wave. An independent release via Eat Records, Salem, MA…and it seems to be quite scarce these days...

  3. Any more Tweeds?

Discovered them in the past few days via their I Need That Record which was featured in the rockumentary of the same name.

Grateful to find this EP and the Perfect Fit EP over ar RatBoy69, and I've been playing both EPs to death.

I think they're wonderful and I can't believe that they are not better known.
