THE BODY ELECTRIC – Pulsing EP (1982)

This is the 2nd post for today so I can get some catch up in…We travel to New Zealand’s early 80’s synth culture for this little gem. The Body Electric was just that, a body of four musicians that put forth an electronic onslaught that can be wildly intense and should be enjoyed by the electronica new wave synth club heads out there. Side A’s title song is the standout with its piercing synth line…Both versions of the song get meshed together into one 6.30 minute tune, so it’s basically one song….but worth it…Enjoy this one….

  1. B-side is played in clubs and on underground radios throughout germany and gets good dancefloor resonance...perfectly fits in the current synthwave-underground hype.
was looking for this song for some time, thanks for the upload, it's great

  2. Hi,

Just wanted to mention that although four tracks are shown in the playlist, only three MP3s are in the archive. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but the missing one appears to be Pulsing (Dance Mix). Not sure if it needs a re-upload or not, but thought I'd let you know.

Oh, and thanks for all the awesome obscurities :)
