PEGASONICS – New New York LP (1980)

Here’s an exceptional, quirky, left of center, odd band who were led by the late and great Mark Freeland. Mark was a innovator in the underground music scenes during the 70’s and 80’s, especially in the Western New York music area. He was driven by a creative force for artful progressive music. Pegasonics came to being after the demise of the late 70’s band Pegasus. This one and only album is packed with creative tunes that range from power pop, new wave to art rock to instrumentals. For the vinyl collectors, it comes with an interesting six page booklet full of whacky pictures and comments…a very nice addition to an impressive overall musical package….Out of print private pressing via Trelaine Records, NY.

  1. I've got a Mark Freeland "best of" cd kicking around somewhere. Very Zappa-esque. Didn't know he was involved with anything else. A wizard, a true star...
