Here’s a not so rare album from a New York City crew. I’ve had this in the collection for many years, but recently picked up a sealed copy, so I thought I would post it after not hearing it for a decade or more...Even know it’s not a private pressing, it is out of print and seems to lean on the more obscure side of things. It starts off well with an infectious female synth wave tune “Zoo Story” coupled with snippets of animal sound effects... The album continues down a similar path throughout the rambling ten songs, taking turns with vocal treatments and steering in power pop rock territory with quirky jabs and crunchy guitars towards the end of the second act.
This is a solid outing by what I’m sure was a fleeting moment in time for this forgotten fivesome. This looks to be the group’s one and only effort… As mentioned, this is not a scarce record, so there should be a wide array available for modest prices. Recommended listening for a non mainstream slice of vinyl. Out of print...
