MediaFire put me in timeout

So Mediafire suspended my account today due to infractions that are trivial at best. This music is out of print, no longer available , over 20-30 years old, and 99.5% of the bands don't even exist anymore. Oh well, the service doesn't seem to understand that.

Anyway, for what it's worth, I've submitted a counter claim to cite my issue so we will see what transpires. In the interim, I will use other services going forward, and will make an effort to re-up very old posts with new links and full downloads.

ONE + ONE has been updated with new link.

PANIC has been updated with new link.

BRAVE NEW WORLD has been updated with new link.

  1. Damn! That's what I call ridiculousy harsh. So much stuff on here I never got to. This is quite a blow, but I'll hope you'll keep plugging along - and with any luck maybe you can convince Mediafire to reinstate you.

You can try these folks as an alternative file hoster: http://netkups.com/ No strings attached...so far anyway.

    1. Yes and maybe also Depostifiles, Yourfiles, Shareplace or Adrive, but Divshare could also be ok I guess. Everything but Mediafire or Rapidshare!! They just keep deleting links madly now everywhere without any valid reasons. Very likely to avoid the fate of Megaupload.
Anyway, we really hope you won't give up now..

    2. All that happens because people are using known filehosting services to rip and share new and well copyright protected movies, games, music and so.. And then innocent blogs like this gets in trouble because of that as the employees at filehosting services can't control so much links and so they just suspend everything releated to music, movies, games, regardless if it's really breaking the rules. They just say that the link was reported as illegal and so suspend it. Nothing else..

  2. What a shame about Mediafire. It's a great hoster for free users.

But I'm happy you keep continuing your work.
    Thanks.

  4. Fantastic little corner of the internet you have set up here. I was wondering if you would be able to re-up the Johnny Zhivago "Microalbum EP" as you seem to have been the only one kind enough to introduce it to the modern age. Keep up the great work!

  5. Thanks for the heads up. I wondered why Mediafire's links were broken for the past few months... and regretting I didn't grab the files when you first posted them. :(
