THE WISHING WALL – Music To Live By EP (198?)

Yet another college rock alternative obscurity that came from what was then the hotbed core of activity for many of the indie artists – Atlanta, GA….The standard formula applies with jangling guitars and melancholic vocal arrangements. Standout tracks would reside on Side 2 – “Immaculate” & “Market Rain”…There is no date of release to be captured, but it sounds like a mid 80’s release…Out of print private pressing via Token Bird Records…

SIDE 1

SIDE 2

  1. Awesome, thanks again for rescuing another rarity! FWIW a few sites indicate this was recorded in 1987, including Amazon and recordrelics.ecrater dot com, so you're right on the money.

  2. I just checked out a file on my computer and it was the awesome recording. REM meets the Feelies on the best of it.

Really, I have a ton of jangle and power pop and at least now it is hitting me as one of the best around.

I don't know if this is where I downloaded it (I would have guessed Willfully Obscure but it's not there), but in any case thanks for making it available!
